Companion: Elder Jordan Jones from Kanab UT

Hello Everyone,
Another fun week has gone by. Interviews have continued this week, so we were traveled around East Texas to visit with missionaries there. We left on Monday afternoon to work with the zone leaders in Gilmer, TX. Elder Kaupanger (MTC companion) is one of the zone leaders there, so I worked with him that night. It is amazing how a mission can change someones life. He is still the goofy Elder Kaupanger I remember, but he has become a great missionary. He brings a bit of flavor to that zone. We slept on their floor that night and then woke up for interviews that morning at 10:00 in Gilmer. After the interviews were done, we drove to Longview, TX for more interviews at 1:00. We worked with the zone leaders there that night and once again slept on the floor that night. We got up early the next morning to drive the Tyler, TX for interviews there at 9:00, and then drove to Palestine, TX to visit with a companionship working there. We had a bit of time to work that afternoon, so we drove to Nacogdoches to visit a few members, recent converts, and former investigators. It was so nice to see friendly faces. Nacogdoches has a special place in my heart, and it burst with joy as we visited people. Our last night sleeping on the floor was spent in my old apartment in Nacogdoches, but it was a short night because we had to wake up early to drive back to Dallas for interviews at 10:00 in Richardson, TX. The rest of the afternoon consisted of work that needed to be done in the office, and then we were able to visit with Colin and give Nicole a blessing. She has been ill for about a week, so we were asked to give her a blessing. Yesterday morning we drove to McKinney, TX for interviews, and then spent the rest of the day planning out a meeting that will be happening this upcoming Wednesday with all of the zone leaders. What a week it has been. I was so grateful to have had the energy to work this week. Although I had energy, my own bed has never felt so good. I am so thankful to be a missionary and find ways to share the gospel with everyone. I am grateful for the peace I feel. Thank you for all of your letters and prayers.

PS - Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for your package. The copies of the Book of Mormon with your testimonies are great. They will find good homes soon.
